HPE has recently announced that it has purchased SimpliVity which is the company best known for being a specialist in the “hyperconverged infrastructure” space. Hyperconverged is the term used to describe the systems that combine compute, storage and networking into a single converged system. The market is estimated to be worth $2.4 billion in 2016 and has a growth rate of 25% estimated to reach $6 billion by 2020.
